This is the process I follow to sketch and illustrate a Childrens book.
These illustrations are done for Thosai Amma Thosai, an interactive Tamil Childrens book by Chellamey books
I start with the basic thumbnail sketching for the cover page.
After one option is chosen I do multiple colour iterations of the same.
The final product looks like this:
A quick mock up to show how cute and fun this is gonna be.
Here below you will find some of the interior pages of the books. I havent shown all the steps as they are more or less the same as in others.
